PESHAWAR, Aug 16: A central leader of Tehrik Nifaz-i-Fiqha Jafria was shot dead here on Saturday.

Unidentified gunmen fired on Sardar Mumtaz Ali Qazalbash, TNFJ deputy general secretary, near his house in Hayatabad Township, killing him on the spot.

His son told police that his father was associated with estate business for the past few years. He said his father had no enmity.

“He was alone at the time of incident. His body was taken to hospital by area people,” the son said, adding that no one saw the killers.
