Lahore races postponed

Published August 14, 2008

LAHORE, Aug 13: The midweek day/night Lahore Gymkhana races, scheduled to be held on Wednesday, have been postponed till Thursday following heavy rains which lashed the city.

Lahore Race Club (LRC) stewards took the decision in view of the waterlogged conditions of the Racecourse.

The card will remain the same and the first race will be held at 5.30pm.

Meanwhile, the LRC announced that there would be no change in the races to be held in connection with the celebrations of the Independence Day on Sunday.

The card on Sunday will feature Independence Day Cup, Jashn-i-Azadi Cup and the Azadi Cup.—AG
