KRC guide goes missing

Published August 14, 2008

KARACHI, Aug 13: The KRC Guide for the Independence Day spectacle was not available at the selected bookstalls in the city till late Wednesday evening causing problems for the punters on one hand to evaluate the performance of horses for betting and for the reporters on the other to file the curtain-raiser.

The KRC Guide contains update records of horses which enable the race goers as well as journalists who regularly cover horse racing to know the latest track record of competing horses.

This has not happened for the first time and despite drawing the attention of the concerned high-ups no remedy has been made for the weekend races to ensure its early printing and distribution.

Meanwhile, a number of people connected with horseracing have also complained about the much publicised KRC website which they alleged is not being updated as far as handicap and acceptance are concerned.—AZ
