Three brothers drown in Chenab

SIALKOT, Aug 10: Three brothers drowned while bathing in the River Chenab near Saddarpura village in Bajwat area on Sunday. However, locals saved their cousin from drowning.

Wahid, Ehsan and Abdul Rehman, sons of Abdul Rashid of Sialkot Cantonment, and their cousin Zeeshan had gone to Bajwat to see their relatives. Later, they went for picnicking at the river, which was at low to medium level flood with 185,765 cusecs discharge at that time. The three brothers, all in their twenties, drowned while Zeeshan was saved by the locals. The three brothers were later buried in a local graveyard here on Sunday afternoon.

BODY: The body of another unidentified man was found packed in a sack lying in fields near Marala Ravi Link Canal in Motra police precincts in Daska tehsil on Sunday. The man had been tortured to death and it was fifth of its kind incident in a week. The police registered a case.
