Man kills wife and sister-in-law

SUKKUR, Aug 10: Armed men gunned down two women on the pretext of karo-kari in the katcha area in the limits of Gublo police station near Kashmore on Saturday night.

Imam Bux Bhangwar suspected that his wife Rasheeda and his sister-in-law Heer had relations with two men of the area. He and his accomplices shot both the women dead.

Mengal Bhangwar, brother of Rasheeda, has lodged a case at the police station against Imam Bux, Sajjan Bhangwar and Abdul Karim. However, no arrest has been made.

Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: A man was axed to death on the pretext of Karo-kari in Junejo colony on Sunday.

It was suspected that Nawab Shar, a resident of Hingorno, had relations with daughter of Abdul Sattar Shaikh, a resident of Junejo colony.

And when Nawab came to house of Sattar Shaikh, some people attacked him with axes. Nawab got seriously injured.

He was taken to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas where he died.

City SPO Mehboob Baloch told journalists that police had arrested the suspect, Abdul Sattar Shaikh, while other accused had fled.Meanwhile, a woman was killed by her husband in Haji Hashim Palli village in the limits of Bodar Farm police in Umerkot district on Sunday.

Fifty-year-old Meeran was working with her husband Bheemo in fields where they exchanged hot words. The husband got angry and attacked her with a spade. The woman died on the spot. She was mother of five children.

Bodar Farm Police have registered a case against Bheemo on the complaint of Umro, father of the deceased woman.
