Two injured as gas pipeline bursts

LAHORE, Aug 9: Two passers-by sustained injuries when a gas pipeline burst with a bang and caught fire near Taxali Chowk on Saturday.

The Edhi officials said the locals controlled the fire before the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited officials reached the spot. The injured, who could not be identified, were provided immediate treatment. The gas supply remained suspended for over an hour.

In another incident, an oxygen gas cylinder exploded in a private hospital in Iqbal Town. However, no casualty was reported.

The Edhi officials said the cylinder caught fire which was controlled by the hospital officials.
