Landlord dies resisting robbers

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 8: Dacoits shot a landlord dead and his brother injured when they resisted their bid in Ayyia Nagar village in Ferozwala police precincts on Friday.

At least 10 dacoits barged into the house of Akbar, took his family on gunpoint and started collecting gold jewellery and valuables.

Akbar and his brother Ishrad offered resistance on which the dacoits shot at them and fled. Akbar died instantly while Ishrad was taken to Mayo Hospital in Lahore in critical condition.
