HYDERABAD, May 6: The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, at a meeting held on Monday, discussed the security measures for the first and second semester examinations of the departments and institutes of the university.
The meeting decided that precautionary measures would be adopted during the examinations at the examination centres.
A committee of the deans and senior professors will pay surprise visits to the examination centres daily.
According to university sources, 7054 students are appearing in the second semester and 2506 students are appearing in the first semester examination.
The examination will commence from May 18 at 16 centres.
Registrar Professor Ferozuddin Kazi presided over the meeting.
PROTEST AGAINST POLICE: A protest day was observed in all the colleges on the call of Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) here on Monday against the alleged misbehaviour of police officers with the teachers on the referendum day.
A press release of SPLA claimed that black flags were hoisted on the college buildings and the college teachers held protest meetings and adopted resolutions condemning the misbehaviour of police officials with the teachers during the course of the their referendum duties in Karachi, Sakrand, Kotri and other parts of Sindh.
