LAHORE, Aug 6: A labourer fell victim to ‘head-hitters’ in Township here on Wednesday.

Muhammad Ashraf, 25, was working in an under-construction house in Sector-II of B Block. On Wednesday morning, Ashraf’s brother found him lying in a pool of blood on the rooftop of the house. His head had been smashed against blunt object, possibly bricks.

The police sent the body for an autopsy and registered a case against unidentified people.

CAR THIEVES: The Model Town Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff claimed on Wednesday to have arrested four car thieves and recovered 19 cars and one motorcycle worth Rs15 million from their possession.

Investigations SSP Zulfiqar Hameed told reporters that the staff smashed Muhammad Din, alias ‘Mandi Odha’, car lifting gang and arrested its ringleader Muhammad Din and his accomplices Ijaz Babar, Bazaid Khan and Muhammad Saleem.
