KARACHI: Katchi abadis’ survey

KARACHI, Aug 6: Provincial Revenue Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that a survey of goths and katchi abadis in Karachi will be carried out and only genuine people will be granted the ownership rights of their houses.

He stated this while presiding over a meeting in his office on Wednesday. Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Khan Durrani and officials of various departments were present.

The meeting constituted a committee comprising members of the BoR, Goth Abad Scheme, Lyari Development Authority and Malir Development Authority, to conduct a joint survey for the purpose.

The meeting was informed that some 300 to 350 families were coming and settling in the city every day. It was also informed that FIRs against 17 notorious land grabbers had been lodged.—PPI
