Farhan fails to reach semis

KARACHI, Aug 4: Unseeded Farhan Mehboob, after brilliant outing in the Petrosport International Championship, bowed out of the $140,000 PSA Super Series Platinum squash event.

He lost his quarter-final against fourth seed Karim Darwish of Egypt at the Sky Club in Cairo.

World no. 8 Karim Darwish took only 32 minutes to topple Farhan, recording an 11-9, 11-4, 11-2 victory.

Darwish later defeated eighth seed Malaysia’s Azlan Iskandar 11-3, 11-2 (rtd) in the semi-final in just 14 minutes.
