KARACHI, Aug 4: Sindh Football Association South chairman Nasir Karim Baloch has requested government of Pakistan, Sindh government, Pakistan Sports Trust and Pakistan Sports Board to provide urgent financial assistance to the ailing football legend Turab Ali Baloch.

The player who led Pakistan from 1961 to 1968 is suffering from complications after a severe stroke and has been admitted to the Kutiana Memon Hospital at Kharadar here.

“We are grateful to the president of the National Bank of Pakistan for presenting a cheque of Rs250,000 to his wife in June.

“But we need more funds for Turab Baloch’s medical expenses,” the South chairman said.
