SSC achiever seeks reward

MUZAFFARGARH, Aug 3: A Secondary School Certificate position-holdes is crying foul as he says he has been ignored by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while doling out money as reward.

The student is from the Dera Ghazi Khan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Top scorer Amir Fiaz (who has obtained 805 marks) says: “When Shahbaz Sharif has given Rs5 million to Muhammad Hafiz Shahzad who topped in the Lahore board, why he is not being considered for the reward as he belongs to a poor family from Saidanpur village near Shah Jamal.”

Amir says his family consists of eight members. “My father admitted me to Missali Zakariya Academy, Pir Jahanian, where I was given books free of cost and was never charged the fee.”

Ex-chief minister Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa gave him “only Rs20,000 and a medal”, he said.
