KARACHI, July 29: Three persons, including two women, were killed and 28 others were injured when a private contract bus overturned on Northern Bypass and fell into a ditch near Hub Chowki here on Tuesday, Edhi and Chippa sources said.

The bus was carrying workers of an industry when it overturned. Forty-year-old Saira Khatoon, 60-year-old Saima Bibi died on the spot. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi. A 35-year-old injured man, who remained unidentified till filing of the report, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

After carrying out the legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to their heirs. The injured were admitted in the Civil Hospital Karachi.—PPI
