NAROWAL, July 28: The illegal business of decanting gas cylinders on roadside shops and streets, which has already taken a heavy toll of lives and property, is going on unchecked.

The district administration seems to have winked at barrage of complaints they have received to save citizens from the lurking danger.

The LPG gas dealers and their sub-agents are making hefty profits by decanting gas cylinders at the cost of life and property of the people.

Mostly these shops are located in streets and bazaars of congested localities in Narowal, Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Baddomalhi, Qila Ahmedabad, Nonar, Noorkot and Sankhatra.

Narowal DCO Waqas Ali Mahmood said that a task force, comprising the district civil defence officer, district labour officer, tehsil officers and the DSP (Headquarters), was formed to take strict action against the culprits.
