SARGODHA, July 27: Sargodha police on Sunday claimed to have seized 130kgs of hashish, 80kgs of opium, around 4,000 bottles of liquor and illicit weapons from drug pushers during the last few days.

DPO Dr Usman Anwar told reporters that Bhagtanwala police had recovered 60kg hashish from Azeem Pathan while the Factory Area police seized 70kg hashish and illicit weapons from some drug traffickers after a chase.

He said that 80kg poppy was recovered by the City police from a drug peddler while 4,000 bottles of illicit liquor were also seized from another accused.

MOU: The University of Sargodha and the University of North Carolina State in the United State have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for five years to share common interest.

Both universities will closely collaborate with each other to develop programmes for benefits in collaborative research and faculty and student exchange programme.

Both universities will cooperate with each to develop and exchange curriculum material as well.
