KARACHI, July 26: Some 18 probables turned up at the National Coaching Centre on Saturday at the Karachi trials held by the Sindh Women’s Football Association to select a Sindh women’s team for Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) forthcoming national women’s championship in August.

Speaking to Dawn later, Sadia Sheikh, general-secretary Sindh Women’s Football Association, said: “We were pleased to come across some good talent today. We selected seven to eight girls from Karachi and the rest we hope to meet in Hyderabad next month.”

The venue and date of the Hyderabad trials have been changed from Wapda House, which was a bit too far for the girls from Sanghar, to Hyderabad Public School at 11.00pm on Aug 4.

Players from Sanghar, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad are invited to appear for the trials to be supervised by selector Hassan Baloch,

Sadia Sheikh and Mr Azam, Secretary, Hyderabad Football Association.
