Couple commits suicide

SIALKOT, July 26: A newlywed couple committed suicide allegedly over domestic dispute in Adalat Garha village near Uggoki on Saturday.

Muhammad Zubair, a 32-year-old local trader, first ended his life by swallowing pills. Later, his 28-year-old wife Nazia followed the suit by hanging herself with a rope. They had started their wedlock just five months ago.

The police handed over the bodies after autopsies and started investigations.

STABBED: A mentally-retarded man killed his brother in Hussainpur village near Noor Kot in Shakargarh tehsil of Narowal district.

Zahid Mehmood stabbed his younger brother Khalid Mehmood with sharp-edged knife when he was sleeping in the courtyard of his house. The police arrested Zahid and started investigations. —Correspondent
