TIMERGARA, July 26: Unidentified persons set on fire two mobile phone centres at Kumbar bazaar, Maidan, the hometown of Tehrik Nifaz Shariat-i-Mohammadi chief Maulana Sufi Mohammad on Saturday, police and residents said.

Unidentified armed persons seized a gun from the watchman of the bazaar and set two mobile phones shops owned by two Ubaidullah and Bashir Ahmad ablaze, sources said. The shops were totally destroyed.

The owners did not register a case with the police, official sources said.

The outlaws escaped the scene after setting the shops on fire, sources said.

However, the police later changed its stand and termed the incident a result of a short circuit, it is learnt.
