KARACHI, July 24: Nine ships carrying containers, coal and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships, Tom Ship to load cement, Winco Elise, Han Sprinter to unload and load general cargo and APL Cairo, Cape Colorado, Northern Harmony, and Global Progress to unload and load containers were berthed after departure of eight ships,.

The departing ships were led by Bsle Express, Sea Mild, Conti Harmony, Seven Sea Aurora, APL Shenzhen, Oel Ability, Winco Elise, and Asean Explorer, while King Douglas, Northern Harmony, Global Progress, Cape Colorado, Al-Soor-2, Han Spinter, Tom Ship and Creek are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side totalling 121,000 tons comprising 48,060 tons of export cargo and 72,680 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Friday: Scalo-1 to load 30,000 tons of cement, Otello Manship with coal, Johar with crude oil, Kapitan Byankin, Y.M. Inauguration, Orient Stride, Calvin P. Titus, Cosco Lian Yun Gang and Kota Gunawan with containers.
