KARACHI, July 23: Ejaz Sarhadi and Jamil Khan, both from Karachi, won the singles events in the Balochistan National Seniors tennis championship which concluded at Quetta’s Brown Gymkhana the other day.

According to results made available here on Wednesday, Ejaz inflicted 6-1, 6-3 defeat on Quetta’s Waseem Baran to win the 35 plus singles title while Jamil got the better of local player Lala Muzaffar 6-1, 6-2 to claim 55 plus singles crown.

Final results:

35 plus singles: Ejaz Sarhadi (Karachi) bt Waseem Baran (Quetta) 6-1, 6-3.

55 plus singles: Jamil Khan (Karachi) bt Lala Muzaffar (Quetta) 6-1, 6-2.

35 plus Doubles: Waseem Baran (Quetta) and Asad Malik (Quetta) bt Ejaz Sarhadi (Karachi) and Farrukh Saleem (Karachi) 7-6, 1-6, 6-3.

55 plus doubles:Lala Muzaffar (Quetta) and Prof. Anis (Quetta) bt Dr. Shoaib (Quetta) and G. M. Gola (Quetta) 6-0, 6-0.—Sports Correspondent
