LAHORE, July 23: A three-day Sub-National Immunisation Days (SNID) is being launched in six districts of Punjab adjacent to Sindh from July 28.

The mobile teams of the Punjab health department will administer polio vaccination to the children under five.

The decision was taken at a meeting here on Wednesday with Health Services Director-General Dr. Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry in the chair.

The participants were informed that few cases of polio had been reported in Sindh province because of which the adjacent districts of Punjab had also become sensitive.

They were informed that all health facilities located in these districts would also extend help and cooperation in this regard.

MAYO DOCTORS: A delegation of Mayo Hospital doctors met with the chief secretary here on Wednesday and informed him about problems they were facing.

Chief Secretary Javed Mehmood promised to look into the issues personally and maintained that he would visit the hospital soon. The delegation consisted of Dr. Rana Sohail, Dr. Salman Kazmi, Dr. Somia Iqtadar and Dr. Ahmed Kamran.
