Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, July 21: Eight container vessels are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where a dozen ships, Grand Champion to unload cars, Noor-e-Madina to load clinker, Mitra Bhum, Soon Fu and Wan Hai-315 to unload and load containers, Asia Forest, Atlantic Express to unload and load general cargo, Moyra, Gerigo, Omega King, oil tankers and Nordina-G to load cement were berthed during the last two days.

Sailing was also active as 11 ships, Eric G. Gibson, Hanjin Qingdao, Bruce, Park, Quetta, Siam Pearl, Atlantica, Bavaria Express, Mitra Bhum, Grand Champion, Fatima and Manora Naree departed, while Moyra, Cerigo, Omega King, Wan Hai-315, Grigorpan, Asia Forest and Asian Explorer are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 195,000 tons comprising 55,934 tons of export cargo and 139,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Kapitan Byankin, Seven Seas Aurora, Pac Antilia, Northern Harmony, Y.M. Inidatie, Global Express, APL Shenshen and Cape Colorado with containers.
