Four die in road accident

SHEIKHUPURA, July 20: Four passengers were killed and 10 injured when a van collided with a truck near Jhamke on Sargodha Road on Sunday.

The van was on its way to Lahore from Farooqabad. Most of the van occupants were going to Lahore’s vegetable/fruit market.

Three of the four killed were identified as Saleem of Farooqabad, Shafi of Sacha Sauda and Siddique of Sohna village, while the fourth victim could not be identified. Injured Ijaz and Sattar were in a critical condition and they were taken to a Lahore hospital.

GIRL KILLED: A 16-year-old girl was burnt to death here in a city graveyard. Shamim was reportedly abducted by some vagabonds, taken to a graveyard and raped. The accused later threw acid on her and killed her.

BODY FOUND: Body of a youth was found near Faisalabad railway crossing. Faryad was shot dead by some unknown assailants.
