GHALANAI, July 20: Three kidnapped officials of the local accounts department were released here on Sunday.

Account Officer Naseem Khan, senior auditor Inamullah Khan and junior auditor Tariq Shah, who were kidnapped ten days back by unknown armed persons at gun point from Karapa area after coming home from duty, were kept for ten days in captivity in Mohmand Agency.

Relatives of the kidnap victims confirmed news of their release, saying that they had reached safely to their homes. The government employees in the area took a sigh of relief after the safe release of the officials.

MAN KILLED:< A personnel of the Mohmand Rifles was electrocuted at the FC headquarters Ghalanai in Mohmand agency.

The deceased paramilitary solder, identified as Shakeel Khan, was erecting a tent on the roof when a steel bar touched the 11,000KV power transmission line.

As a result he got severe electric shocks and was killed on the spot.

The deceased belongs to Teerah valley of the Khyber agency. His body was shifted to his native town for burial.
