Army clinch six golds

LAHORE, July 19: The Army dominated on the second day of the 48th National swimming championship here on Saturday, picking up six gold medals, four silvers and a bronze.

Results:

1,500m freestyle: 1 Israr Mohammad (Army), 2 Firdous Khan (Army), 3 Ghulam Mohammad (Sindh).

100m butterfly: 1 Sikandar Khan (Punjab), 2 Nasir Ali (Army), 3 Ali Gul (Navy).

100m freestyle: 1 Adil Baig (Army), 2 Shehbaz Khan (Punjab), 3 Sikandar Khan (Punjab).

200m individual medley: 1 Mohammad Mansoor (Army), 2 Nisar Ahmed (Army), 3 Adnan Hashim (Wapda).

100m breaststroke: 1 Sanaullah (Army), 2 Abdul Aziz (Wapda), 3 Zohray Khan (Army).

100m backstroke: 1 Faiz Mohammad (Army), 2 Waheed Ali (Army), 3 Atif Khawaja (Wapda).

4x100m freestyle relay: 1 Adil, Ameer, Firdous, Israr (Army); 2 Bashir, Shehbaz, Moid, Sikandar (Punjab); 3 Faiz, Imran, Abbas, Safdar (Wapda).
