QUETTA, July 19: A member of security forces was killed and three others were injured in an explosion in the Uch area of Dera Bugti on Saturday.

Sources said that the explosive device had been planted along a road and was detonated by a remote control when a vehicle carrying FC personnel was passing.

The FC troops deployed in the area took the injured to the Sui hospital.

Police said that it was a locally-made bomb of one kilogramme. Some suspects were taken into custody for interrogation.

A spokesman for the Baloch Republican Army claimed responsibility for the explosion.
