LAHORE, July 19: A married woman and a young man were killed in separate road mishaps on Saturday, Edhi and police said.

Rehana, 30, was going along with her husband Hanif, of Garhi Shahoo, and children on a motorcycle on Multan Road when she fell down from the two-wheeler on a jump and was run over by a speeding truck near Sundar Filling Station in Manga Mandi. She died instantly.

Asif Bashir, an employee of the Punjab Agriculture Department, was going on a motorcycle when a speeding car hit him in front of Bank Square in C-Block of Model Town. Asif with critical wounds was taken to the General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

INJURED: A young man sustained critical injury when a rickshaw driver attacked him with a knife in Fazal Elahi Park in Shalimar police precincts.

The police said Ejaz had an argument with 22-year-old Faizan over some issue and later stabbed him. The injured was taken to a hospital. The police registered a case against Ejaz on the complaint of victim’s brother Zeeshan.
