GUJAR KHAN, July 17: Regional Police Officer Nasir Khan Durrani on Thursday suspended eleven policemen, six sub- inspectors and five constables of Gujar Khan police station while issued show-cause notice to the SHO for negligence and poor performance.

During a surprise visit to the police station the RPO observed that some of the important cases of murder, abduction for ransom, robbery, etc., were not given due attention by the investigating officers which left the complainants with no option but to approach him.

Ibrahim, a complainant in a murder case, went to the RPO and said that the local police were giving undue favours to the murderers, and that they were not carrying out proper investigation.

Another complainant Sh. Muhammad Ramzan also complained that his son Nazakat was abducted in November 2007 and despite some useful clues given to the investigating officers, his son could not be recovered.

On these complaints, the regional police officer directed the SDPO to supervise the investigation of these cases personally and submit report within ten days.
