KARACHI, July 17: An electrophysiology lab was inaugurated at the Dow International Medical College (DIMC) on Thursday by Dr Syed Sibtul Hasnain, president of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

Such labs have already been established at the Dow Medical College (DMC) and Sindh Medical College (SMC), managed and controlled by the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr Hasnain said that the new lab would provide a modern facility to DIMC students for physiology practicals.

He hoped that the institution would succeed in attaining international recognition in the years ahead.

DUHS Vice-Chancellor Prof Masood Hameed Khan said that a quality enhancement cell had been established at the university, which had switched over to semester system and a new method of practicals.

DIMC Dean Dr Zeenat Ayub said that 100 seats had been reserved at her institution for the overseas Pakistani students.
