KARACHI, July 16: Paceman Abdul Rasheed wrecked Zone-III batting line-up single-handedly, claiming nine wickets for 24, to guide Lasbela to a seven-wicket victory in a KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 Cricket Championship match at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Tuesday.

Due to Rasheed’s devastating bowling, Zone-III, batting first, were bundled out for 76 in 37.1 overs. Only Danish Aziz (13) and Aamir Khan (12) could reach double figures.

Lasbela, in reply, reached the required target for the loss of three wickets in 21 overs. Fawad Umar made 24.

Off-spinner Fahazullah captured five wickets to bowl Zone-II to a 48-run win over Zone-III at KGA Ground.

Fahaz finished with excellent figures of 5 for 42 and left-arm spinner Rafay Iqbal claimed three wickets for 21 as Zone-III crashed to 119 all out in 41 overs while in pursuit of 168 for victory.

In another match played at the Student Ground, Mohammad Waqas made a fine 50 with three boundaries for the winners Zone-VII who beat Zone-VI by 37 runs.
