DADU, July 16: The salaries of judges of Supreme Court, high courts, and lower courts will be increased, said Chief Justice of Pakistan, Abdul Hameed Dogar.

The CJP, addressing lawyers from Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Mehar and Dadu at Wapda Rest House, Dadu on Wednesday, said corruption in judiciary was a matter of the past as now courts were working and judges dispensing relief to people. He also informed of establishing residential colonies for lawyers and provision of land for judges’ chambers along with bar rooms. Court building damaged in December riots were being renovated, he said. About bar room of District Bar Association Dadu, he said that he will inaugurate it on the invitation of lawyers.He announced grant of Rs200,000 for Khairpur Nathan Shah; Rs200,000 for Mehar; and Rs100,000 for Johi bar rooms, and thanked the lawyers of Sukkur, Larkana, Naushahro Feroze for providing him an opportunity to address them.

Earlier, acting President DBA Dadu, Shah Mohammad Soomro informed about the problems of lawyers. Additional Advocate General Sindh, Shafi Mohammad Memon and District Sessions Judge Dadu were also present.

Acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Azizullah Memon, and Justice Ghulam Dastgir Shahani, Justice Ali Saindino Metlo, Justice Abdul Rehman Farooq Pirzada, Justice Kazi Khalid, Justice Muneeb Ahmed Khan, Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul Haq, Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro and presidents of district bar associations Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze were also present.
