Kidnapped minor boy murdered

GUJRANWALA, July 15: An eight-year-old son of a property dealer, who was kidnapped for Rs4 million ransom on Monday, was killed Tuesday and his body was thrown in Upper Chenab Canal.

Zahid, son of property dealer Muhammad Islam, was kidnapped from Delta Road. His kidnappers killed him after his family failed to meet their demand. His body could not be retrieved till Tuesday evening.

KIDNAPPED: Chemicals dealer Sheikh Ashfaque was kidnapped soon after he left his Bank Square shop on Monday.

The Anjuman-i-Tajran head told newsmen that kidnappers were demanding Rs10 million for his release. —Correspondent
