KARACHI, July 14: A KESC sub-station near the Lyari Telephone Exchange on D.D. Chaudhry Road caught fire on Sunday night, fire brigade sources said on Monday.

All equipment inside the station were gutted before the fire tenders managed to extinguish the fire after about an hour of struggle.

The cause of fire could not be ascertained immediately.

In another incident, cotton stocks were destroyed when a fire broke out in a warehouse in Korangi No.2-1/2, the fire brigade department said. —APP
