NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 14: A lady doctor and her daughter were killed and her husband was seriously injured in an accident near Halani on Monday.

Dr Akhtar along with his wife Dr Rizwana and daughters, 13-year-old Hina and nine-year-old Hira, was going to his village in Kandhkot from Karachi when a Karachi-bound truck collided with his car on the National Highway.

Hina was killed on the spot while Dr Akhtar and Dr Rizwana suffered serious injuries. The other girl was unhurt.

Motorway police took the injured to taluka hospital Kandiaro where Dr Rizwana died.

Dr Akhtar was referred to Larkana hospital due to his critical condition.

The bodies were lying in taluka hospital Kandiaro till the filing of this report.

The truck driver managed to escape. Halani police have impounded the vehicle. No case was lodged till the filing of this report.
