Accord for wind turbine

BEIJING, July 14: In order to promote alternative energy, especially with wind generation, a Pakistani enterprise has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s one of the world top wind turbine manufacturers, the company sources said.

The Planet Energy Ltd has signed the MoU with Goldwind Science and Technology, China’s largest and one of the world’s top 10 wind turbine manufacturers for purchase of turbines for its planned 50MW wind farm with the option of increasing it to 150MW.

The MoU was signed in Urumqi, China, the sources further said.

Present at the signing of the MoU were chairman of Planet Energy Tariq Sayeed and Executive Director Khurram Sayeed, whereas Goldwind Science and Technology was represented by its Vice President Wang Xiangming.—APP
