GHALANAI, July 12: A ten-year-old girl was killed and two children were injured when roof of the room they were sleeping in collapsed in Saro Kalley area of Mohmand Agency on Saturday, according to neighbours who rushed to the scene and retrieved the body of the girl and the injured children.
ANTI-POLIO DRIVE: A large number of children of Khan Baig Korona area of the Mohmand tribal region could not be vaccinated against the polio during the recent anti-polio campaign.
The residents of the area, which is located along the Pak-Afghan border, alleged that the EPI officials repeatedly ignored the area during the drive.
In a statement they said that they had approached the surgeon of the agency headquarters hospital, Mohmand, but the anti-polio teams were yet to visit the area.
