KARACHI, July 12: Four ships carrying containers, coal, steel billet and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.Meanwhile, another ship with coal also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Maersk Novazzano, APL Alexandrite, Sirios, Navisron Bulker, Golden Nori, Smooth Hounds, M3 Suzanne and Kaghan, were busy in loading/offloading containers, rock phosphate, coal, steel billet, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 85,180 tons comprising 69,592 tons of import and 15,588 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Golden Nori, Smooth Hounds, CMA COM America and Maersk Novazzano sailed out while APL Alexandrlte and M3 Suzanne were expected to depart Saturday.
