KARACHI, July 11: Nine ships carrying chemicals and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Rosy Falcon to load clinker, Teen, Mol Ability, Northern Fortune and Kota Ekspres to unload and load containers, Thor Swan to unload and load general cargo and Selendang Permata, oil tanker, were berthed.

Sailing was also active as nine ships, APL Pusan, Mare Thrccium, Kapitan Byankin, Northern Fortune, M-3 Sucanne, Sunrise Lilac, Iron Butterfly, Timos Stavors and Super Star-2, departed on Friday, while Thor Swan, Kota Ekspres, Lalazar, Mol Ability, Nicolaos-A, Bulk Arrow and Selendang Permata are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 141,000 tons comprising 50,881 tons of export cargo and 90,487 tons of import tonnage was handled.
