GUJRANWALA, July 10: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday raided a Kamoke hotel, arrested a human agent and recovered 14 passports from him.

FIA Additional Director Husain Asghar said Irfan was wanted for the last three years. He said the accused had sent many people to Europe and Malaysia after getting Rs900,000 and Rs300,000 per head from them, respectively.

Asgher said Irfan of Toba Tek Singh was waiting for his men at a hotel when the raiding party arrested him. Further investigation is under way.

BOYCOTT: The district bar association boycotted courts in connection with their weekly protest on Thursday and held a meeting at bar room.

The meeting which was presided over by bar president Malik Shaukat Ali Awan, adopted a unanimous resolution demanding immediate restoration of the deposed judges.

The participants expressed their confidence over the leadership of Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan.

Senior lawyers Suleman Khokar, Riaz A. Sheikh, Ashiq Ali Butt, Zagumullah, and Syed Mukhtar Ali Kazmi also spoke.

Later a delegation of lawyers went to Islamabad to express solidarity with Islamabad lawyers.

CASE ORDERED: A local court on Thursday ordered registration of a case against 13 people, including Lobianwala police post incharge, Aroop police moharar, court reader and bailiff on charges of manhandling a bank recovery officer and snatching his vehicle.

Reports said recovery officer Muhammad Iqbal filed a petition with the court, stating that he impounded a car (GHA-2726) for non-payment of installments. He said a few days ago post incharge SI Khadim Husain,

moharar Rifaqat Ali, constable Tahir Arif, court reader Surblund Ali and bailiff

Majeed stopped him, beat him up and drove away with the vehicle after throwing him on road.
