Man kills aunt, two cousins

KASUR, July 9: A man stabbed his paternal aunt and two teenaged cousins to death over a domestic dispute in Kot Sardar village in Khudian police precincts on Wednesday.

Noor Jahan used to taunt her nephew Muhammad Riaz for ignoring the alleged affair of his younger sister Shazia for quite some time.

Perturbed Riaz entered his aunt’s house on Wednesday morning and stabbed her, killing her on the spot. Noor Jahan’s 16-year-old daughter, Hina, and 15-year-old son, Nadeem, tried to save her but Riaz also stabbed them to death and fled. The police registered a case with no arrest so far.

DEMONSTRATION: Around 100 shopkeepers of Allahabad on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration in front of the local grid station against unscheduled loadshedding. They blocked the main road for around an hour and chanted slogans against Lesco authorities. The police later intervened and made the protesters lift the blockade peacefully.
