President of Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Qutbuddin Shah, told journalists that the restoration of stop of Shalimar Express at Khairpur railway station would benefit traders who would be able to send their products at cheaper rates, as well as people who wanted to travel to Lahore or Karachi.

PPP workers and office-bearers of Anjuman-e-Tajiran showered Nazir Ahmed, the driver of Shalimar Express Up, with roses.

The traders demanded to restore stop of eight other trains at Khairpur railway station.

CONSTABLES: A large number of unemployed youngsters have applied for 13 vacant posts of the police constable in the district.

Police source said that the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah is likely to announce more vacancies of constables throughout Sindh and it was expected that district Khairpur would get additional posts.

The physical tests started from Monday under the supervision of a committee formed by DPO Khairpur Ghulam Nabi Memon who was also present at the police line ground during the tests.

The candidates appearing in the physical test faced hardship due to persistent heat wave in upper Sindh.
