PESHAWAR, July 5: NWFP Senior Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour has directed the authorities to expedite work on preparation of the feasibility report of water supply from the Warsak Dam to Peshawar.

At a meeting with the authorities of national building departments concerned on Saturday, he said resolution of the drinking water problem was among priorities of the provincial government.

He said the Warsak project was important because its completion would reduce burden on the city’s tubewells and save billions of rupees in lieu of electricity bills of Wapda. People, he said, would get uninterrupted water supply round-the-clock, according to an official handout.

Mr Bilour also instructed repair of faulty tubewells in the city and warned that action would be taken against officials concerned on receipt of public complaints in this regard.
