RAWALPINDI, July 4: An accountability court here on Friday once again put off the hearing in three references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family as bureau remained unclear about the cases.

Deputy prosecutor general of the NAB told the court that he had not yet received directions from the authorities about whether or not the proceedings against the accused would be initiated. The NAB authorities have been told this in written and the reply was yet to come, he told the court.

Court-IV Judge Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood put off the hearing in the three corruption references - Hudabia Paper Mills, Ittifaq Foundry and Assets references - against the accused till July 31, directing the prosecutor to take final directions form the NAB.

In the Hudabia Paper Mills case, the accused including Mian Nawaz Sharif were charged with securing huge amount as loan and using it for other purposes.

In Ittifaq Foundry Reference, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Abbas Sharif and other accused were charged with taking of big loans and their abuse.

In Assets Reference case, the accused were charged with accumulating of huge money and assets beyond their declared means of income allegedly by misusing their authority.
