QUETTA, July 2: Gunmen killed three people in a cold drink shop on the Brewery road near Wahdat Colony on Tuesday night. Relatives and local people protested against the killing and staged a sit-in outside the Governor’s House and Chief Minister’s House on Wednesday morning.

Police said that unknown terrorists riding on a motorcycle opened fire on the cold drink shop, seriously injuring four people.

The injured were taken to Bolan Medical College Hospital where three of them died. They have been identified as Ahtram Ahmed, Mohammad Amjad and Syed Ifran Shah.

The protesters were carrying the bodies of the victims.

They blocked the Zarghoon road and raised slogans against the government and demanded protection from terrorists.

Provincial ministers Shafiq Ahmed Khan and Mir Asim Kurdheld talks with the protesters and assured them that the government would arrest the terrorists involved in target killings and bring them to justice.

On the assurance given by the ministers, the protesters ended their sit-in and lifted the road blockade.
