Five killed in road accident

QUETTA, July 1: At least five people were killed and 22 others were injured when a passenger coach collided with a lorry on the Quetta-Karachi highway near Khuzdar on Tuesday.

According to police, the Karachi-bound coach coming from Panjgur collided with the 22-wheel lorry in Pir Umar area, killing five people on the spot.

The injured were taken to Khuzdar Civil Hospital and condition of at least four of them was stated to be serious. Police have arrested the driver of the lorry.
