Motor race in Karachi today

KARACHI, June 28: Some of the country’s top racing drivers based in Karachi will be featuring in the Karachi Rally Autocross to be held near the Jam Sadiq Bridge on Sunday at 11.00am.

Around 50 drivers are expected to participate in the race that will be held at a 4.5km track under the auspices of National Motor Sports.

Prominent drivers taking part in four different categories — 1,500, 2,000, 2,500 and over 3,500 CC — include Mohammad Ashraf, Ronnie Patel and Abbas Akbar.

A prize money of Rs200,000 will be on offer in the event.
