10 shops looted in Wah

TAXILA, June 26: Robbers on Thursday looted 10 shops in Wah Cantonment and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs0.4 million.

Police sources said that four robbers armed with sophisticated weapons came to the market located on Jallala road in Nawababad on Thursday and took hostage guard and broke open the locks of one medical store, three public call offices, two grocery stores, one CD shop, one tailoring shop, one book store and one mobile shop and fled away with the looted booty including cash, mobile and phone cards, packets of cigarettes, CDs and other valuables.

A few days back three shops in Lala Rukh market were looted. While police still clueless about the outlaws involved in the crime. The traders community and their office bearers while condemning the rising incidents of dacoities and theft have called upon local Police authorities to nab the gang of outlaws failing which they would announce shutter down call till the fulfilment of their demands.—Correspondent
