National Judo from tomorrow

KARACHI, June 25: The three-day National Judo Championship under the auspicious of the Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) will commence from June 27 at the Secondary Education Hall, Muree Road, Abbottabad.

The championship featuring 10 teams, namely, Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, NWFP, FATA, Islamabad, Army, Wapda, Railways and Police will be competed in the open weight category.

Col Shujaat Ali Rana, president of the recently-founded federation, said: “This is going to be our first national-level championship after the federation’s formation on May 26.

It will soon be followed by the first women’s national championship as well, the time and venue for which will be decided at our executive committee meeting in Abbottabad on June 29 which is also the last day of the event.”
