Kidnapped boy recovered

BAHAWALPUR, June 20: Ahmedpur East police claimed to have recovered from Cholistan a 10-year old boy reportedly kidnapped for ransom about three weeks ago.

Ahmedpur East DSP Amir Taimoor told newsmen on Friday that Muhammed Waseem, son of Nazir Ahmed , hailing from Qadirpur village, was kidnapped on June 1 allegedly by his close relative Amir Baksh and his two accomplices Hafiz Mehboob and Arshad.

His parents informed Saddar police which registered the case against the accused.

On a tip off, a police team raided the hideout of the accused in Cholistan and recovered the boy.

One of the accused, Hafiz Mehboob was arrested while Amir Baksh and Arshad managed their escape.—Correspondent
